Patient Voices - Jazmine and Tawana

In this episode, we have a talk with Jazmine McRae and Tawana James (daughter and sister-in-law, respectively), who cared with a big loving heart for our dearly missed Evelyn Charrisse McRae. Charrisse was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and congestive heart failure at the age of 30 and lived with the heart disease for 26 years.

Jazmine and Tawana would share their journey as caregivers to Charrisse, especially during those years. Undoubtedly, the journey was made more meaningful with the enormous loving nature and grace of Charrisse. Jazmine explained that love is what kept her beloved mother going. She also added that Charrisse always showed love by being warm, kind, and even sassy at times.

The pair (together with family and friends in attendance) will talk through their journey, daily life lessons and blessings as best friends, in-laws, mother, and daughter/caregiver.

We are having an unfiltered conversation with two inspiring voices who would talk about their unique stories, their commitment to developing a community with healthy hearts, and how they commemorate resilience in the face of adversity.
