I recently graduated from my cardiac rehabilitation after my LVAD heart pump surgery. However, the completion of the rehab program does not come with long-lasting benefits. Going home and doing nothing, one would lose fitness in a couple of weeks. So, what next? With the team, we have set up a transition plan and I devised a Cardiac fitness plan – to remain active and exercising.

Unfortunately, due to meetings and other errands, I have not been consistent with three times weekly visits. Busy month, it has been. So, not a great month for me at cardiac rehab, but we're ok.


At the centre, I make sure I am productive in my exercises, learn and gain as much as I can from the team and my fellow patients. [...]

Just a few more days until the Boston Heart Walk. ​We did it! we have almost tripled our target $! Thank you so much for everyone that donated, and support us.



The Boston Heart Walk raises awareness, raises our heart rates, and raises money to make our community a healthier place to live and work. On Sept. 9, #teamheartofagiant will join thousands of walkers from across Greater Boston to finish heart disease and stroke for good.

Hi Friends:



Cardiac rehab has been going well. I am feeling stronger and able to take on more and more. I go to the hospital for my sessions three times a week. The days I don’t go, I walk around the neighborhood or go to the park. I ride the train to go to my follow-ups or for other errands. This way, I get to explore Boston differently, enjoying the scenery and watching people.
